Hello there! My name is Bruna.
Not too long ago, I used to run against the clock while trying to manage my time in between working full-time as a visual coordinator for a big fashion e-commerce in Brazil and getting as many creative jobs that I could as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. I was doing this to the point of almost having no spare time at all and I needed a change. After a lot of thinking, I chose what made me happier. Towards the end of 2012, I opened my one-girl-band studio and have been living happily ever after since.
Being a full-time freelancer allows me to work with different people and media every month, which gives me the necessary time and motivation that I need to fully dedicate to my clients.
I am always excited to start a new project, whether it’s editorial illustration, visual identity for your brand, patterns for your fashion design, a new website, etc., I’m up for it. I am currently working out of Chicago, IL, with people abroad on a daily basis and have proven that distance is not an issue. Working with you through e-mail and/or Skype is really simple (efficient too!) and I can ensure you that it will be as easy as pie!
As for my former education I have a degree in Fashion Design through Senac University in São Paulo, Brazil. I’ve attained over 7 years of experience as a graphic designer working for fashion labels, magazines and online stores. In São Paulo, I also specialized in graphic design and art direction through Panamericana School of Arts and School of Fine Arts, respectively, as well as illustration through Parsons School of Arts in NYC.
