Crockd Video and Photography

Crockd, a D.I.Y. pottery kit brand, approached me to create two social ads for their flagship product—the original kit.

Guided by Crockd's approachable and playful branding, I embarked on creating energetic stop-motion animations designed to grab users' attention in the bustling social media environment. The goal was to showcase the versatility and simplicity of enjoying clay play at home. 

Art directing and executing this project in my home studio during the beginning of the pandemic pushed me to be exceptionally resourceful and broaden my skill set to include pottery making, stop-motion animation, and audio production.

Drawing inspiration from the dense and organic nature of clay, the audio component featured a prominent bassline. The sonority of the brand name "crockd" inspired the fast-paced finger snaps. Collaborating remotely with a skilled audio producer, we successfully brought this vision to life.

The final ads not only visually captured the essence of Crockd's brand but also resonated with the audience, contributing to the brand's vibrant and engaging online presence.

During my collaboration with Crockd, I also had the opportunity to spearhead their brand photography direction. This involved crafting creative product shots and establishing site product photography standards that continue to shape the brand's visual identity to this day.
